Altaeros Opens Subsidiary, Altaeros UK Ltd., To Manufacture Aerostats and Rugged Inflatable Structures

Wrexham, Wales, United Kingdom, December 11, 2024 – Autonomous aerostat manufacturer Altaeros announced the opening of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Altaeros UK Ltd., in the United Kingdom. Altaeros UK will henceforth manufacture all aerostats for Altaeros as well as produce other inflatable goods such as hangars, shelters, and custom inflatables for a variety of customers. Headquartered in Wrexham, Wales, Altaeros UK operates a manufacturing facility within the esteemed Wrexham Industrial Estate. The production floor features a 10m high ceiling and 2,300 sqm of production space, which is fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools for hot air welding, high-frequency welding, cutting, sewing, and fabric testing for inflatables manufacture.
Altaeros UK employs highly skilled craftsmen, each bringing extensive experience in the lighter-than-air (LTA) industry. Over two-thirds of the employees each have over a decade of experience with inflatables. Altaeros UK leadership includes Andrea Preece, General Manager (10+ years in LTA), Mark Stokes, Design Manager (10+ years in LTA), and David Hampson, Production Manager (25+ years in LTA).
